“A Protegida” in Elvas

Shooting for “A Protegida”, TVI’s new telenovela, is continuing in Elvas, a city in the heart of the Alentejo countryside, known for its historical heritage and unique beauty, which is also the setting for this gripping love story.

As part of the protocol signed between Plural Entertainment and Elvas City Council last Tuesday, the city received a visit from TVI and Plural management. Among those present were José Eduardo Moniz, TVI’s General Director, Ricardo Sampaio Maia, TVI’s Communications Director, Dina Nascimento, Media Capital Group’s Artistic Talent Manager, Piet-Hein Bakker, Plural’s General Director and Miguel Cotrim, Plural’s General Production Coordinator.

Also present to watch the recordings were Commander José Rondão de Almeida, the President of the Alentejo Regional Tourism Authority, José Santos, Elvas City Council Councillor Cláudio Monteiro and other representatives of Elvas City Council.

The media was also invited to follow this day of recording the soap opera closely. Among the actors present were Matilde Reymão, Inês Herédia, Noua Wong, Daniel Viana, Mário Oliveira, Christian Escuredo and Aline Neves.

“A Protegida” has been filming in Elvas over the last few months and the City Council has provided unconditional support during the shoot.
