Montijo once again transforms into a fiction set, hosting the filming of Amor à Prova, TVI’s new telenovela. The production’s continuous presence in the municipality has been made possible thanks to the strong support of the Montijo City Council, which has been willing to collaborate with the filming from the very beginning.
As part of the protocol signed between Plural Entertainment and the Montijo City Council, the city welcomed a visit from the TVI and Plural management on November 27. Those present included Hugo Andrade, Deputy General Director of TVI; Ricardo Sampaio Maia, Director of Communication, Events, and Corporate Relations at TVI; Dina Nascimento, Artistic Talent Manager at TVI; Piet-Hein Bakker, General Director of Plural; Gabriela Sobral, Content and Production Director at Plural; and Miguel Cotrim, General Production Coordinator at Plural.
The Mayor of Montijo, Fernando Caria, accompanied by his Chief of Staff João Barata and other municipal representatives, also made a point of closely following the filming of this new TVI fiction project. Members of the press were also present, capturing the collaborative atmosphere between the production team and the municipality.
Actors such as João Lagarto, José Condessa, Lucas Dutra, Mafalda Marafusta, Salvador Biernat, and Sofia Grillo participated in the day’s filming, bringing to life the story that has captivated the local community.
Amor à Prova, written by Joana Jorge and inspired by the Chilean original Te Doy La Vida, has been filming in Montijo since production began in September, with the City Council providing unconditional support for all production needs.
This new TVI and Plural fiction project, starring Joana de Verona, João Jesus, José Condessa, Mafalda Marafusta, and Salvador Biernat, follows the life of a family whose happiness is shaken by their child’s illness. Amid moral dilemmas, difficult decisions, and legal obstacles, the protagonists will do everything to protect what they love most.
